LUTM was first developed in 2001 in North Birmingham and has continued to used successfully in Community and Secondary care Teams since.

Birmingham North and East Primary Care Trust have continued to support this service.




In Spring 2008 a 12 month Pilot study began. The objective was to examine the benefits of introducing Telemedicine into a locality with no prior experience of Telemedicine. Primary Community and Secondary teams are involved in this service improvement pilot.
